Viola Dawe Thomas, 97, of Montclair, passed away February 21, 2019. Visitation will be Saturday, March 2, 2019, from10-11am, with service immediately following beginning 11am, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 51 Elm St, Montclair, NJ.
Viola is survived by her four children, Sue Julia, William Henry Jr. (& Cynthia Grant), Linda Princess (& Steve Ponton) and John Henry (& Dennis Coffey); seven grandchildren, Cheryl (& Hanniel) Nduati, Carol Thomas, Stephen (& Jennika) Thomas, Stephanie Thomas (& Greg Parker), David A. Grant, Kedar Thomas (& Matthew Scoville) & Patrick Coffey; and nine great-grandchildren, Dr. Ann Nduati, Andrew Nduati, Elijah Joyce-Grant, Elias Grant, Henry Scoville, David Scoville, Genevieve Thomas, Josephine (Josie) Thomas, and Juliette Thomas and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces & nephews and great great-nieces & nephews, plus many treasured friends.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HomeCorp, a Montclair-based non-profit dedicated to affordable housing using the following web address (https://www.homecorp.org/donate- to-homecorp) or you may mail your donation to HomeCorp 17 Talbot Street, Montclair, NJ 07042
