Sylvia Kaniecki

Sylvia Smith was born in Grenada on June 16th, 1947 to Agnes Smith and Dowlin Haynes. She has five children, Emmanuel, Marilyn, Stephen, Nigel, and Kathy Ann and numerous grandchildren. Her siblings were, Athony, Bernard and Arthur (deceased), Cecila, Marcelle Haynes and Marcia Haynes (living). She married John Kaniecki on December 11th, 2004. The happy couple resided in Montclair for fifteen years. Sylvia lived the last five years of her life in a nursing home suffering from dementia. She worked as a nanny and took care of elderly people. Sylvia was a gardener. Sylvia was a child of God a member of the Church of Christ at Chancellor Avenue. She was a very active member organizing clothes and school supply giveaways. Sylvia lived a long life dedicated to God. Sylvia died with courage and in peace. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. 

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
