On April 17, 2023, Prince Austin Lee, I, loving father of five (5) children, passed away at the age of 75. Prince was born on August 24, 1947, in Trenton, New Jersey, to his loving mother, Iona Lee and was chosen with love by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle Clark.
Prince, or as called by many “Sandy” or “Austin”, was raised in Nutley, New Jersey and received his high school diploma from Jamaica Plains High School in 1965. He then went on to attend Rutgers University where he received a degree in accounting, working in the field for over forty (40) years before retiring.
Prince was a loving, devoted single father, raising five (5) children on his own and dedicated his life to his children. For this he will always be admired and respected in the hearts of many, as this was by far his greatest accomplishment.
An avid sports enthusiast, Prince enjoyed attending his sons’ sporting events and seldom missed a practice or a game. When Prince was not attending his sons’ sporting events or teaching his daughters etiquette, he was constantly thinking of ways to take the world by storm… and will be greatly missed for his quirky mastermind ideas and zesty ideologies (including his published book on the topic of sounds produced by seashells and how he believed that it was “The Holy Ghost” communicating with the world).
Prince is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Clark, Myrtle Clark, Iona Lee and Albert Guess, Jr., his grandson Travis Brown Jr., and sisters Ruthie Malloy, Mae Scott and Gail Kimberly.
He leaves to cherish his memory his five (5) children: Travis Brown of Port Jervis, New York, Robin Brown (and Fiancé Patrick Breen) of Manchester, Connecticut, Prince Lee, II of Raleigh, North Carolina, Heather Lee of Raleigh, North Carolina and Tiffany Perez of Florham Park, New Jersey. In addition to fifteen (15) grandchildren (Mercedes, Iyanti, Infinite, Adonis, Dante, Monet, Mariah, Noah, Genesis, Jadyn, Xavier, Olivia, Bella, Lyla and Prince III), ten (10) great grandchildren (Vivian, Azila, Greysen, Alaiya, Silas, Mazi, August, Remee, Carmelo and Hendrix), his nephews Darwin Malloy and Gerald Scott as well as a host of other family members and friends.
He will forever remain in the hearts of many and will never be forgotten.
