Pauline Davis

August 2, 1938 ~ July 24, 2022 (age 83)



August 2nd, 1938, Pauline was born to Walter C. and Mabel A. Brown Davis in
Dillwyn, Virginia. Pauline completed her early education at Buckingham Training
School. She Graduated from Carter G. Woodson High school in Dillwyn, Virginia.

At an early age she joined Mount Olive Baptist Church in Dillwyn, Virginia. She
attended and graduated from Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

After college, Pauline moved to Montclair, New Jersey to live with her mom. She
worked in various jobs, including a realty company, until she was hired at the
Montclair Post Office. While employed at the post office, she held several
positions and retired in 1998 as a customer service supervisor.

Pauline was a devoted member of the Union Baptist Church. She joined the
Montclair Rotary Club in September 27, 2018 and for two years held the position
of treasurer.

Pauline is preceded in death by her father, Walter C. Davis; her mother, Mabel
Brown; a brother, John Campbell Matthew Davis; a half-brother, Leo Davis; a half-
sister, Valita Davis; and a half-sister, Lillie Davis.

Pauline was loved and cherished and she leaves to mourn two double cousins, Lillie Anne Gibson from Cleveland,
Ohio and Jesse I. Davis from Buckingham, Virginia; one half-sister, Cathy Davis;
two half-brothers, Troy Davis and Conrad Davis: and a host of other friends and
