Nicole was born on March 16, 1971 on the military base in Wiesbaden, Germany. Her mother returned to the United States in October 1972 and raised Nicole in Belleville, NJ. Nicole was the oldest granddaughter to Edith Plunkett Marshall and Harold Marshall Sr. who loved and cherished her dearly. Nicole was always shadowing her grandmother around their family home in Belleville. Nicole was very family oriented even at a younger age and would travel out to see family in parts of New Jersey, New York, or Kansas City.
Nicole graduated from Belleville High School and furthered her education at Essex County College with an associates in Nursing. She was always focused on her studies and never gave up on her goals. Before her passing, she was working toward furthering her education in nursing. Besides working and going to school, Nicole proved to be a dedicated mother to her daughters. She always had their backs and supported them through the highs and lows of life. Nicole had a multitude of friendships both on and off of social media. Nicole was a social butterfly and everyone she had encountered can say she was a joy to be around. Her family and friends will miss her eternally. She touched many lives with her love, wit,
generosity, and overall passion for life.
Nicole Michelle Wright, 51, of Newark, New Jersey, was called home on the evening of October 16,2022. She’s survived by her mother, Judy [Marshall] Wright, her two daughters, Sydney Wright and Sheridan Phillips, her grandson Ka’mani Bullock, 6 paternal siblings, and countless close friends and family. Nicole is predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her father Joseph Wright, and the fathers of her two daughters, Jesse Tillman and Lamont Phillips.
