Marjorie Brown was born on November 6, 1929 in Montclair New Jersey to the late Louise and Rollie Booker, Marjorie had one sibling, the late Elizabeth Booker. Marjorie was educated in the Montclair Public School District.
Marjorie was united in marriage to John Harold Brown and to this union four kids were born: Stanley, Ada, Ronald and Donna. This union lasted over thirty years, until God called John home on November 9, 1986.
After starting a family, Marjorie was a full-time housewife until all the kids had started school, and then worked as a Certified Nursing Aid at Green Hill Senior Care facility in West Orange, New Jersey, she loved caring for others and worked there for over 25 years before retiring in 1995.
Marjorie enjoyed going to different churches listening to the choir and the daily word that was delivered. She enjoyed sports, baseball (a Mets fan), basketball and boxing. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading. She loved watching the horse races at the meadowlands and going to Atlantic City trying her luck. Marjorie enjoyed walking for exercise, singing, listening to spiritual music and dancing. She also loved watching the game shows on TV, playing various card games and going out to buffet lunches with friends.
Marjorie greatest love was helping her kids, which included her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always there when needed and never once turned her back on her family.
Marjorie will be greatly missed by not only her loving family and friends, but all that knew her.
Marjorie transitioned into eternal glory on Tuesday, July 9, 2019.
She is preceded in death by her mother Louise Booker, her father Rollie Booker, her husband John Harold Brown and her son Stanley Harold Brown.
Marjorie legacy is survived by: three kids; Ada Mahama, Donna, Ronald (Teresa Brown) and Daughter-in-Law Sheila Brown; eleven grandchildren, Demond, Malika, Shanecka Mahama, Jamaah, Tyrone, Dominique, Raven, Aaron, Ashley, Arielle and Shayla. Eleven great grandchildren; Emoni, Elecia, Amir, Jace, Sanai, Mekhi, Elijah, Shamiah, Tiana, Isaiah and Kailyn.
