Lindy Curry

Lindy Curry, 91, of Montclair, passed away peacefully at home, February 23, 2019. Visitation will be Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 9 - 10am, with service beginning at 10am, all being held at Union Baptist Church, 12 Midland Ave, corner of Midland Ave and Portland Pl, Montclair, NJ. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Mr. Curry retired from Bayer Chemical Plant as a foreman after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his daughter Renee Kelley, and son Leonard Curry. Lindy is survived by his wife, Nettie; son, Lawrence (Loretta); daughter, Tanya Curry-McMichael (Donald), brother-in-law; David Martin who he raised from teenager to adulthood. Son-in-law, Bishop Robert Kelley III. Eight grandchildren: Claudine, Kristin, Kimberly, Robert IV, Ryan, Rachael, Simone, Leila; and five  great-grandchildren: Lorelei, Jacqueline, Alessandra, Victoria, Robert V.  In addition to his immediate family, he leaves to cherish his memory his “special family” William and Patricia Scott, Karen Gunthorpe and the Andersons: David, Aida, Raquel and Claudia, Renee Hooks, Shakeema and Jordan. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by a host of relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
