Joseph Jetter Obituary

Joseph A. Jetter of Montclair, NJ, was loved very much by his family and friends.  He is survived by Vanessa, his wife of 46 years, and his three children Justin, Nia and Melanie Jetter.  He is also survived by his beloved older sister Maria Dawson, his youngest sister Patrice Jetter and several nieces and nephews.  He is survived by Percival Dawson as well, his brother-in-law, who had a tremendous influence on his life. Joseph was predeceased in death by his parents Walter and Levicia Jetter and his siblings Walter Jetter Jr. and Nancy Johnson.

Joseph had an eclectic taste in many things.  He loved science fiction.  He knew The Lord of the Rings, including The Silmarillion, so well that he could have been a consultant for the movie.  He also enjoyed reading Ray Bradbury, Octavia Butler and many other authors.  Joseph liked watching Dr. Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Korean Dramas amongst other things.  He preferred to record his favorite shows and then watch them so that he could pause frequently for discussion.

Joseph loved playing tennis, playing chess, HayDay and Animal Crossing.  Joseph also loved his N scale model train village that he built from scratch and named JettRail.  He liked a wide variety of music including Jazz, Cat Stevens, The Beatles and many others.  He liked The Moody Blues so much that he named his first child after Justin Hayward. Joseph was also passionate about eating ice cream (especially coffee flavored), travelling with his wife and children and taking care of his wife Vanessa.  Joseph was a hard worker who overcame many challenges.  Be safe!
