John Howard Henderson

Disabled Veteran and beloved family man, John Henderson, 94, of West Orange, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023. John was born in Philadelphia on November 2, 1928, the only child of Ophelia and John Sr. 

Upon the death of his mother he moved to Bloomfield, where he graduated from Bloomfield High School. He married the late Thelma Reese of Montclair, raising four children in East Orange.

He was a Welder at Walter Kidde Corp of Belleville. Upon his retirement, John and Thelma relocated to the Jersey Shore where they enjoyed many years together.

He is survived by his sons; Garry (Linda), Keith (Tezetta) and daughter Penny Corum (Calvin).  He was predeceased by his wife and daughter Cathy.
