Harold Cooper Obituary

Harold known as "Coop", is the fourth child born in September 6,1947 to the late John and Gracie Cooper, he departed life on September 17, 2023 in Newark, Delaware. He was born in Nash County NC. He attended Swift Creek High School in Whitaker NC. 

 

Harold served In the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Harold's entrepreneurship skills surfaced in barbering and with Cooper's Deli & Liquors. Harold served as a Community Spokesperson for East Orange. Work with at risk youths in the community.  He went on to be a chemical transporter working for Kuene Chemical in Kearny NJ where he retired. Harold is preceded in death by parents John and Gracie Cooper...brother James, his wife Denise Franklin Cooper, his wife Patricia Freeman Cooper. 

Harold's strong belief and faith in God continued to grow over the years.

He leaves to cherish his memories...3 daughters 2 sons 1 step son. Kendria of Nashville NC Donesha of New Jersey, donMonique & Brian of Maryland, Nyles & Kat of California, Brandon & Kareema of Pennsylvania, Stepson Troy & Taryn of Middletown Delaware. 10 grandchildren. Siblings: JP & Vivian of Delaware, Sonnie & Margaret of NJ, Bettie & Jim of North Miami Florida, Earl & Elma of George of Rocky Mount NC, William & Frances of Suffolk VA, Gracie & Alvin of Decatur Al,  fiancé Valerie Harp and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
