Edwin S Ball

Edwin Sherman Ball was born September 13, 1934 to the late Lemuel J. Ball and Lulu Brockett Ball in Newark, New Jersey.

Edwin married Izonie Anderson on January 31, 1965.

He was educated in the Newark School System.

Edwin worked for the Summit Board of Education, retiring February 1, 1997.

Edwin Ball, was a 32º mason, Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge State of New Jersey, Past Worshipful Master, Jephthah Lodge No. 56, Prince Hall Affiliated; Noble, Golconda Temple No. 24; a member of Holy Royal Arch Pilgrim Chapter No. 10; and Sardonias Consistory No. 41.

Edwin is one of the original members of the James L. Robinson Shrine Club and loved his craft and masonic brothers.

Edwin enjoyed spending time with family, doing electrical work for friends and family.  He loved hosting and participating in flea markets in the Montclair area.

He is a member of Saint Marks United Methodist Church in Montclair, New Jersey.

He made his transition to the Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2018.  Edwin was preceded in death by his son, Blain Anderson; parents, Lemuel and Lulu Ball; brothers, Otis and Lemuel J., Jr. Ball; sisters, Marion Rich and Ethel Ball.

To mourn his loss he leaves his wife, Izonie; son, Darryl Jackson; daughter, Holly Ball-Whitney; grandchildren, Kyle Ball, Kyla, Kiarra, and Kevin Whitney; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
