Douglas Randall Harris, Sr, affectionately known as Dougie, was born May 27, 1958 to the late William and Dorah Harris in Montclair NJ. After a short illness, he was called into the Lord's
Kingdom, December 12, 2025. He attended Montclair High School and Union County College majoring in business.
On August 15, 1982, he was joined in holy matrimony to Susette McDaniel and from this union he had two children, Azrael and Kiana. From a previous relationship, Dougie had two sons, Douglas, Jr. and Alexander.
He worked for twelve years for the Department of Motor Vehicle, later retiring due to disability. In his spare time, he would love to play dominos and spades and watch his beloved Dallas Cowboys.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Frances, and brother Randolph(Randy).
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Susette (Jade) Harris, sons Douglas, Jr., Alexander, Sr., Azrael, and daughter Kiana. An aunt, Marlene Kirkpatrick-Anderson and nephew Attikis Davis, nieces Monica Davis, Janene Davis, Brittany Smith, grandchildren, Deana, Donavan, True, Malachi, and Alexander,Jr. brother-in-law Jonathan McDaniel and a host of cousins, family and friends.
