Constance Marie Morton was born on June 1, 1942 to Allie Morton and Mable Woody.
Constance was born in Person County, North Carolina where her family resided in Roxboro, NC. She began her early education in the Person County School district. In the late 60’s, the family moved to Petersburg , VA where Constance attended and graduated from Peabody High School.
Constance was lovingly known to family and friends as Connie.
After graduating high school Connie relocated to Bloomfield, NJ.
Connie was a hard worker who held a position for over 25 years at UMDNJ in Newark, NJ.
She was an active member at New Light Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and enjoyed singing in the choir.
Anyone who knew Connie knew she loved her family with all her heart. She also loved people and she never met a stranger. She loved to play bingo and travel. She not only loved to cook, Connie loved a good meal.
Connie really Lived and was always the life of the party.
If you really knew Connie you know she loved her camera and was always snapping pictures and making memories.
Connie is pre-deceased by her father Allie Morton. Her mother Mable Woody and her brothers Sonny Wayne (Phillip) Morton and Lee Andrew Morton.
Left to cherish her memories are her sister Virginia Woody-Hubbard, brothers Garland (Bennie) Morton, Dock Ragland Jr. and Wife Gloria Ragland, Frank Morton and Wife Bernice Jewel Morton, and Sister in-law Barbara Ann Morton Bailey.
Her children sons Brian Tonic, Anthony Tonic Sr., and daughter Annette Gillette.
Her 8 grandchildren Brianna, Aaliyah, Mark, Kandis, Charisma, Josh, Marcellus and Anthony Jr. Special friends Gwendolyn and Andrianne Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
