Charles Julian (CJ) Jones, 72, of Montclair, NJ, passed away on 3 September 2024. He was born on 29 August 1952 in Washington D.C.
CJ was known for his wit, sense of humor and passion for life. He possessed a vast wealth of knowledge on many topics and never hesitated to start a conversation.
He was a retired officer for the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police. After retiring in 2002, he dedicated himself to sustainable building projects and renewables, working independently as a consultant specializing in Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF).
CJ was deeply engaged in his local community, where he passionately advocated for social change and made a notable impact. He was an active member of People’s Organization For Progress where he participated in education programs and demonstrations.
He is survived by his children, Nicholl and Charles, his mother Daisy, his sister Jolyn, his grandchildren, Nevaeh and Chase, and many loving relatives and friends.
He will be missed greatly.
