Caroline Firebrace Hinton was born January 15, 1927 in Montclair, NJ to the late James and Louise Firebrace. She departed this life on December 13, 2023. She attended Montclair Public Schools and graduated from Montclair High School in 1945. She later attended the Newark Secretarial School. Upon graduation from business school she was employed at the St. Mark's United Methodist Church as a part time secretary and eventually becoming the full time secretary. A position in which she held for over 50 years.
Caroline was a member of the Church School, the Chancel Choir, the Ebony Club, the Montclair Community Service and the Neighborhood Council where she served as their secretary for over 30 years.
Mrs. Hinton received the Demnam award from the Northern New Jersey Conference, the Mayor and Council of the Township of Montclair Proclamation and the Essex County Executive award.
Caroline is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years Collien Hinton Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Collien Jr., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
