It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Carole Joyce Clark. She passed early in the morning on Friday, September 27th in her sleep at the age of ninety-one. Born on Friday, November 18th, 1932, at Orange Memorial Hospital to Isabelle Robinson and Alphonso Phillip Robinson, Carole lived a full and vibrant life with her parents and younger sister Deborah. Unfortunately, in 1944, Deborah passed from a heart condition, and Carole continued her life with her parents.
Carole married Leonard Clark in her early twenties, and during their twenty-five-year marriage, they raised four beautiful children, Robin, Ryan, Leonard, and Russ.
Carole was a devoted homemaker, who took immense pride in caring for her family. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader (731), an exceptional cook, and seamstress, known for her delicious meals and her beautiful needlework. During her time with us, she was the best grandmother to Andrew, Talia, Leonard, Hassan, Taylar, Kerryn, Ryan, Jaquan, Jayden, and Angell. She enjoyed spending her free time taking her grandchildren on weekend excursions and helping them with their schoolwork. We have countless stories of her taking Ryan on train rides to towns in New Jersey no one has heard of, and cheering her other grandchildren on as they won awards and prizes at school and sports. When Carole was not with her children or grandchildren, you could find her at home making her famous iced tea while she watched her programs and smoked a cigarette. Everybody knew, every night at 7pm, Carole had to watch her Wheel of Fortune followed by Jeopardy. Two things Carole took very seriously was her family and her tv programs, you can decide which order. Carole was a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself.
She is preceded in death by her parents, younger sister, ex-husband, and son Russ.
Carole is survived by her children: Robin, Duane, Ryan, Leonard, Casandra, and all her grandchildren.
Rest in peace, dear Carole. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
