Arlene Imogene Green Eden, 81. Resident of Montclair, New Jersey exited this world on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey.
She was born October 11, 1939 in Bluefields Nicaragua, Central America daughter of the late Avis Green and Reverend Charles Hebbert. Of notable distinction was her late uncle Alfred Green, who she considered very special. He and his family were instrumental in her upbringing.
In her own eyes she was just an ordinary woman. In the eyes and hearts of her family and close friends Arlene was EXTRAORDINARY. We know without a doubt she is the Nucleus of our family. Gone sure but will always remain with us in spirit.
Arlene emigrated to the USA and later on became a US citizen while in the employ of Gordon and Elaine Jacoby of Montclair, New Jersey. She received her certificate of citizenship directly from the hands of then President Ronald Reagan. A very proud and satisfying moment for her she could now legally begin the process of reuniting with her four sons and provide for them a better life always with the help of God as she would so often remind us. Also, of special note is her sister-in-law Angela Eden, whom she called sister in the real essence of the word always by her side supporting her in all her endeavors.
Arlene was a faithful member of First Moravian Church in Manhattan, New York. She loved her church family, who were always there for each other during the best and worst of times. This is the Moravian Way.
Arlene Imogene Green Eden leaves behind four sons, Simon, Wilford, Wards and Earl; daughters-in-law, Elma and Maria; grandsons, Evan, Eron, Elia and Luis; granddaughters Stacey, Jackie, Myasia and Lucianne; great grand, Jasmine, Jared and Liam; a host of nieces and nephews; seven sisters, Myrtle, Darlene, Kayleen, Everdeen, June, Selma and Gerda; three brothers, Fullerton, Klinkert and Lumbert.
Rest in peace and always Love. Mama Arlene.
