It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Beloved, family cornerstone, and adventurous soul. She passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026. leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unforgettable memories.


​She was a remarkably dedicated career individual who brought passion, hard work, and excellence to everything she did professionally. Her work ethic was an inspiration to everyone who knew her, but her true love was always her family. She poured her heart into her loved ones, creating a warm, supportive foundation that will continue to sustain them. Beyond her professional achievements and devotion to her family, she had a vibrant passion for exploring the world. She loved to travel, eagerly embracing new cultures, beautiful landscapes, and the joy of journeying to new horizons. Her adventurous spirit and love for life touched everyone she met along the way. ​She will be profoundly missed, but her love, her strength, and her adventurous journey will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.


Aileen Stevenson was born to Florence Catherine Stevenson and George Stevenson. Aileen grew up on Charlton St. in Newark NJ. Aileen attended South Side HS in Newark, NJ and graduated in 1964. After high school, She began her career at Commerce Bank in 1964. She later worked for National Airlines from 1972 to 1980 until the airline went out of business. She then
worked for PanAm Airlines from 1980 to 1991 until that airline also closed. Aileen spent the remainder of her career with Delta Airlines from 1991 until her retirement in 2020.

In addition to her parents, Aileen was preceded in death by Michael Stevenson and Reginald Thompson.


Aileen is survived by siblings: Deloria Hall, Carla Stevenson, Jocelyn Thompson, Amal Ibraham- Shorter. Brother In Law: Steven Shorter. Nieces: Veda Hall, Ayesha Silas, Shyretta Stevenson,
Miles Stevenson, Eman & Islam Ahamad, nephew In Law, Lawrence Silas. Great Nieces & Nephew: Briana Sellers, Surayyah Muhammad, Alisiah Stevenson, Adam Silas, Autumn Morgan, Amylah Stevenson, Lia Stevenson, Brian Stevenson. Great- Great Nephew: Kameron (Kam-Kam) Kelley. Also Survived by lifetime friend & Sweetheart Donald “Akbar” Robinson. She is also survived by a host of other relatives.
