A Time to Love:
On April 17, 1954, she married her groom, John H. Beverly, in the holy state of matrimony, and they relocated to Montclair, New Jersey. Into this union they were blessed with four children John R. Beverly, who preceded her in death, Cheryl V. Beverly, David L. Beverly, and Robbin R. Beverly-Tann.
Addie was a homemaker while raising her children and was an active Jehovah’s Witness member. She enjoyed walking and could be found walking daily around Montclair.
She, also, was preceded in death by all her 16 siblings, Robert Cleveland, Leon Isaac, Mary Elizabeth, Allen, George, Lucy Mae, Josephine, James, John, Willie, Benjamin, and Wilbur. Also, her stepbrothers and stepsisters Charlie, Lona Mae, Henry Wilkins, and Ruby Hopkins.
A Time for Peace:
A great woman of faith and fiercely obedient to her religion, she released the bonds of this world on Thursday, February 18, 2021 and peacefully passed away in her sleep to join her beloved husband, John Beverly who passed away on June 29, 2017. She had been a resident of Montclair Care Center in Montclair, NJ, for the past 2 ½ years.
A Time to Cherish:
She leaves to mourn and cherish her loving memories three children, Cheryl Beverly of Las Vegas, New Mexico, David Beverly (Tonette Grant-Beverly) of Westampton, NJ, and Robbin Beverly-Tann (Robert Howard Tann) of Montclair; seven grandchildren Wayne Hinton of Norfolk, VA, Frederick Hinton of Norfolk, KayLoni Murry-Whitted (Kyle Whitted) of Roselle, NJ, Ti’Yonna Beverly of Westampton, JaWuan Beverly of Newark, NJ, Shawn Tann of Montclair, Jalen Beverly of Westampton, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
