Peggy Henry Ganey, daughter of Burks E. Henry and Genevieve (Alfred) Henry, was born in Bedford, Virginia on June 2, 1945. Peggy grew up with close friends and family in Bedford, but after a short while, the family moved to Washington, DC. As a student at Howard, she met her future husband Dr. James H. Ganey, and eventually had two beautiful children.

There she practiced pharmacy, in an industry setting, with a focus on drug safety and research for many years. While caring for her two children, she obtained her real estate license and worked for ERA Real Estate as well as continued to practice retail pharmacy in various drug stores. She ultimately retired from Merck in 2010. After her retirement and her marriage, she moved to Smyrna, Delaware to start fresh.

Peggy went home to glory on Tuesday, March 8 th 2022 in West Orange, NJ at Arden Courts senior living facility.
She rejoins her parents, Genevieve and Burks, brother Burks II, her grandparents John and Sallie Alfred, and Buford and Minnie Henry, and leaves to mourn a daughter, Jayme S. Ganey of Cedar Grove, NJ, a son Christopher A. Ganey (Amber) and one granddaughter, Jordyn of Durham, NC. She also leaves other relatives and friends.
