Esther J. Wood Monroe, daughter of the late Reverend Jesse J. and the late Mrs. Nannie G. Wood, was born August 23, 1923 in Warrenton, NC (where her father pastored a church). She was called home at 7:37 AM on Monday, July 23, 2018 during her treatment at St. Barnabas Hospital, Livingston, NJ.
